"Hey!!! Aimee, you gotta come to my party it is in like a week but i know if i don't tell you really soon you will never come." Lilly my best friend shouted over the receiver. I love her, but she has the worst timing. Lilly has golden brown hair but because she dies it so often we're not exactly sure what the natural color is. I need her she is the only one who knows how broken i am and she doesn't run nor does she leave.
"I just woke up" I said still trying to wake up. Her shouting wasn't helping much though.
"Oh!!!! i am so sorry" She cried but her voice softened.
She could always melt my heart."Its ok, umm is Xander gong to be there?" I ask hesitantly. There was only silence on her side of the phone. "Umm..." I continue.
"You should call him" she said her voice sounded distant "I will see you at school and i will call you everyday until my party is crammed in your head." With that she hung up. Leaving a really confused me still holding the phone. I saw raven, it frightened me so i looked away and told him to leave for now. I wait only a few minutes until the urge to call Xander became too much. I dialed *RING*RING*RING*RING* finally someone picks up.
"Hello?" A woman's voice asked.
"Hi, is Xander Andrews there?" I asked saying the last name just incase she was a girlfriends or something.
"Darling" She attempted to be soothing"The Andrews moved some odd days ago. Would you like me to give you their new information."
"no, thank you for your time" I said as i hung up.
He left me as every other person who got close enough to see my crakes and broken pieces. They he left, leaving me on the the floor under the bed like an old rag doll. I don't blame him though nor do i blame anyone else. I understand if i had the power i would leave too.I got undress and stepped into my warm shower.It was the first time in almost 3 weeks i cried instead of laughing.It hurt and i knew it. I could here raven he laughed at the fact now i was all his and not even Lilly could stop my down hill free fall. I sat in my shower let the water run over me, my turning a slight shade of pink from the immense heat. It burned yet i could not bring myself to get up long enough to turn it down. I cried only in the shower where no one can see and no one could tell once i exited. I was free for just a moment. Tomorrow will suck.
I walked outside, i have to get to school. I see Lilly running towards me. I smile. She loves me for my oddness, my deranged thoughts, and my brokenness. That is why i love her , why i smile every time she looks my way, and why i can never say no to her. To bad though now her face was creased with fear. I had called and found out that my once true best friend and love of my life had moved without a word. I look down the street his grandmother lived there. Maybe he would visit.
"Aimee!!! You cant forget to come to my party" Lilly shouted as she ran to me. To bad though she was never really coordinated and cant multitask. She tripped. I ran to help but laughed as three other boys beat me to her. She was always the one who got the guys and the ones she didn't want or dumped she tried to set me up with. I walked up to her.
"I will come i promise."I said calmly as she strangled me in a hug.
"Good cause if you said no, i would have got everyone to come to your house and the party would be there." She laughed. We walked in to the school. Our day was as any other would have been, boring. The rest of the week went by and she didn't mention anything about Xander. She also stopped reminding me of her party. I in turn forgot.
*RING*RING*RING*
I stare at my phone.
"I am going to get a new phone and a new ringer and then i will never plug it in." I mumbled to myself as i walked to my phone.
"Hello??" I said.
"Aimee!!!" Lilly shouted "I am having a party you should come" She was trying to be sarcastic. So i called her bluff.
"Where, when, and why?" I responded
"My house, now and because i love parties" She chimed. I don't think she cared that i had forgotten or that i was kidding when i asked why, But that was ok.
"Gimmie 20 minutes"I said. then i hung up. I could not bear to here her talk me into going right this second.
I quickly got ready and headed to Lilly's house this would be fun, but first i had to catch a bus. The long silent ride was comforting only because it meant i had done my job. You see the whole week i had been ignoring Raven and now this suffocating silence was good. I looked at the front of the bus i was sitting in the very back and the bus driver looked as if he would die any second. The thought made me laugh. I tried to stifle it but i burst out. The old man glared at me through the mirror, it just made me laugh harder. We arrived at the stop as i was leaving i could hear him say 'those damn teenagers'. I giggled again. Due to my abnormal appearance i wasn't hard to see. My clothing consisted of everything from pink tootoos and all goth full on chains and black leather but tonight i tried to look my best. I wore a pair of black skinnies and a regular black tank, the only modification was i wore police tape i had left over from halloween. I had bracelets and beads galore and fingerless gloves. My makeup was thick and i liked it that way. I realized that i had no clue where i was going. I mean i had been to Lilly house millions of times before but she was always at the stop waiting for me.
I look around. Thank god Lilly knows i am a forgetful so she sent someone for me. He came towards me. He was about 4 or 5 inches taller than me, just like everyone else. His hair was electric blue with white, it covered his eyes which were a wonderful green. He wore skinnies and a band tee. His features were perfectly chiseled, he had what looked like a permanent scowl. He took two more steps then stopped.
"You Aimee?" He asked though i was pretty sure he already knew.
"Ya" I said with the same enthusiasm. Which was none.
